Estimator/Project Manager

Are you an experienced commercial and residential estimator with experience writing losses in Xactimate and looking to advance your career in the restoration industry? If so, this role is for you!

We are a family-owned and operated company poised for growth. We are in need of a successful, experienced estimator handling mitigation and reconstruction losses for our office. This is a full-time position open for immediate hire.

Our company responds to:

  • Emergency losses
  • Residential, commercial, and large loss
  • Fire, water, storm, mold and content loss estimates

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Clinton Township, MI

Salary: $40,000-$80,000/year plus commission and growth potential

Required Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the restoration industry

Job Prerequisites:

  • MUST have 3 years restoration industry experience
  • MUST have 3 years Xactimate experience
  • MUST be able to pass a background check
  • MUST be able to pass a drug screen
  • MUST be able to provide a valid driver’s license
  • MUST be able to confirm a clean driving record
  • MUST have DASH CRM software experience

Role Responsibilities:

  • Growing the division
  • Responding to losses
  • Writing estimates for fire, water, storm, mold, and content losses
  • Planning, budgeting, overseeing, and tracking all job-specific activities
  • Managing field technicians
  • Enforcing safety requirements
  • Documenting equipment use
  • Increasing system efficiencies
  • Working with upper management to ensure timelines and budgets are met
  • Maintaining relationships with adjusters, property managers, commercial end-users, and property owners
  • Handling losses from $2,500 up to $500,000
  • Constructing and negotiating accurate estimates in Xactimate

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working for a disaster restoration company as a mitigation or reconstruction estimator for commercial and residential losses
  • Experience with DASH CRM software
  • Previous experience writing estimates for mitigation and/or reconstruction losses
  • Preferably certified in IICRC fire, flood, and mold
  • Effective communicator with a professional disposition
  • Valid driver’s license (required)
  • IICRC WRT, ASD, or AMRT certified (preferred)

Administrative Assistant

This role entails both administrative assistance and personal assistance to the CEO.

Required Experience: Minimum 2 years as administrative assistant

Education: High school or equivalent, Associates degree preferred


  • Managing and maintaining client lists and information
  • Organizing and sending orders to various manufacturers
  • Organizing tasks and scheduling meetings and visits
  • Assisting with errands: personal and company item pick-ups and drop-offs
  • Organizing and finding relevant data for individual orders
  • Tracking inventory and office supplies
  • Reviewing finished products for errors and grammar mistakes (QC)
  • Generating reports as needed
  • Maintaining accurate, orderly, and up-to-date filing systems for all administrative records
  • Maintaining security of all files and records
  • Performing various administrative tasks
  • Maximizing role efficiency


  • Experienced in prioritizing, communicating professional needs, and working independently
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, good listener
  • Familiar with Google applications: Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Docs, Slides, and Calendar.
  • Strong capacity to grow professionally and personally
  • Skilled with organization and multi-tasking
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel in particular)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Outlook 365 and Outlook Calendar
  • Outstanding ability to maintain and deal with confidential information
  • Demonstrated professional work characteristics, high initiative, dependability, and credibility
